Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Executive to join our team. This role requires a self-starter with a proven track record in the flavor industry, specifically sweet and savoury, ready to drive growth and foster collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic territory sales plans to achieve company growth targets.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the flavor industry (sweet and savoury).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored flavor solutions to clients.
- Manage and expand existing key accounts while acquiring new clients in the region.
- Report accurately and promptly on sales metrics and performance to commercial leadership and maintain Salesforce.com
- Maintain and demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the company’s product portfolio and end use applications to effectively communicate benefits and solutions to clients.
- Effectively negotiate contracts and work agreements.
- Generate weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, tracking work as specified by manager.
- Actively participate in important business/trade events that impact business unit.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of industry and product information. Know the competition and fully understand the prevalent industry and business climate within the region.
- Engage and collaborate with cross-functional team management in creating innovative prototypes for customer ideation presentations and market demands.
- Effectively partner with internal teams (MIH, Finance, Quality, Regulatory, Applications and R&D) to support customer needs including timely communications, responses to customer inquiries, sharing of knowledge, improved service, operational and technical support
- Exhibit excellent organizational, problem resolution, consultative sales, verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Promote company-endorsed programs and services within assigned territory.
- Attend and actively participate in trade shows and events to showcase BFI product portfolio, meet with clients and stay apprised of food & beverage trends
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience selling sweet and savory flavors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, Food Science or related field to support technical and value-based sales capacity
- Extensive knowledge of the Flavor industry, flavor profiles and trends
- Proven sales experience with brand owners, formulators and third-party manufacturers in Food & Beverage, Food Service, Nutraceutical and Functional Foods end-use markets
- Proven track record of driving growth in the food and beverage industry.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of time to trade shows, corp HQ, events.
